SOLIDWORKS - Jazzy Tips &amp;amp; Tricks - ABRIDGEDJohn will present an Abridged version of the SOLIDWORKS Tips and Tricks that he co-presented with Betty Baker and Joe Lance during the past two World Conferences. He will also share some of his recent experiences with SOLIDWORKS connected version and setting up SOLIDWORKS on a new computer with the latest tech! (Which we all know can be fun or frustrating) Paul Parise is a long-time user of SOLIDWORKS and has presented at SOLIDWORKS World, SOLIDWORKS Corporate Headquarters, and Users Groups across the country.&nbsp;Having Fun with SOLIDWORKS™ or things that are fun to do, but you shouldn’t do during working hours Paul Parise will offer some tips and tricks about SOLIDWORKS, but with a twist. We will examine some models showing how to use SOLIDWORKS to model and understand interesting things all around us. This session will consist of several short subjects. We will adjust our discussion based on questions or interests of the audience. Examples are: Using Sketch Blocks to understand how to make more efficient engines for our cars. Using Dynamic Drag to design a better oil pump for NASCAR race engines A quick look at Space Telescopes, Space Travel and the Planets Some history and philosophy resulting in triangles, cubes and pyramids A quick look at fractals in art and engineering And many more, covering mathematics, inner and outer space, depending on audience interests.Please RSVP below. ConnSWUG Meetup at MakerSpaceCT

We're excited to announce our September CONNSWUG meeting, where we'll be joined once again by our friends Sal and Chin-Loo Lama. Those of you who have attended a meeting with them previously know how much great information these two bring to the table, and this upcoming meeting should be no exception. [The topic(s) are still being decided as I post this, but I will update this when I can]We're also excited to return to UConn’s Innovation Partnership Building (IPB) in Storrs, CT.&nbsp; &nbsp;The IPB is the state’s premier center for cutting edge research and industry collaboration.
