SASPUG: Celebrating 30 Years of Innovation

Stephanie's presentation focuses on how intentional design practices can improve consistency, clarity, and collaboration across engineering teams. She’ll walk through practical SolidWorks tools and workflows that help teams better understand changes, communicate design intent, and streamline downstream processes.<ul><li>Learn how to visually compare revisions using SolidWorks’ Compare utility, making it easier to identify meaningful changes between part versions. </li><li>Explore how to structure drawings using layers to support different departments, so that exported CAD data is clearer and more actionable.</li><li>Learn how simple macros can greatly enhance your communication methods, with an example of batch generating part images for technical documentation.</li></ul>Overall, this talk is about building smarter, more consistent workflows that reduce friction between design and manufacturing, and make collaboration across teams significantly more effective.
