5:45 PM	Welcome Session	Opening Remarks from SolidWorks User Group leadership
6:00 PM	Cloud Services: Look at What You’re Missing	Jay Pinheiro/Laura Nickerson - GoEngineer \| Since July 2023, all licenses are bundled with "Cloud Services". This presentation will demonstrate basic data management and collaboration on the cloud. We will see how the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform handles Data Management, Finding and Reusing Data, External Collaboration, Project Management, Working in a Collaborative Environment and perform Lifecycle and Revision Management. Along the way, we’ll see just how easy it is to interact with the 3DExperience Platform from within the SOLIDWORKS user interface.
6:00 PM	Weldment Design-to-Fabrication Workflow with Simulation	Earl Hasz - Visiativ Solutions Inc. \| During this presentation we will follow the design-to-fabrication workflow using the tools found in SOLIDWORKS. Beginning with a 3D model, the workflow will build the weldment and prepare it for fabrication. The process will incorporate tools such as DimXpert for manufacturing-ready dimensions and GD&T. Beam analysis will be performed to validate the structural capability of the model under load. The fabrication drawings will leverage the PMI captured in the model, complete with cut lists and bill of materials. This presentation is ideal for engineers, designers, and educators interested in optimizing structural workflows and leveraging simulation and automation tools within SOLIDWORKS.

This isn’t a demo — this is you, building something real. Help us assemble custom-designed tool organization solutions for our workbenches — using designs created live with the community during Our Next Make's recent Discord stream. See the CAD in action on the big screen, get hands-on with the materials, and collaborate with the design team to bring these solutions to life. We’ll talk shop about the design process, DIY tips, and assembly techniques — all while you’re working alongside us. No advanced tools or training needed — just hand tools, glue, safety glasses, and your willingness to dive in. We will have multiple computers setup to give attendees a chance to go back in time and model using SOLIDWORKS 95. We will provide a tutorial, job aid, and practice problems for those that need some guidance. Experts will be on hand to answer your questions.

Attendees will learn how to effectively utilize custom properties across different SOLID WORKS file types, to enhance design efficiency and accuracy. We will also discuss the integration of custom properties with SOLIDWORKS PDM, and Property Tab Builder showcasing how they streamline data management and improve collaboration across teams. 8:30 PM	The Advantages of SOLIDWORKS Routing: Electrical	Hugo Ventura - TriMech \| This will be an overview of how routes are created and what is happening in the background. Everything from how the connectors work down to the cable libraries.
8:30 PM	Sub-D Curves Realized with SolidWorks Visualize	Chris Mowatt - BOYD \| Andy Barnes - DS SolidWorks \| Using XShape, designers can produce models with advanced and blended curvature never before possible with SOLIDWORKS alone. Previewing a model in XShape looks great, but nothing compares to the photorealism made possible with Visualize. Come learn the tips and tricks to quickly turn your sub-d and traditional 3D models into rendered works of art!
8:30 PM	PDM Categories Unleashed	Guy Edkins - Integral Data Management Systems \| In PDM, Categories determine into which workflow a file will end up. Categories are used once and only once when the file is first added to the vault. The parameters that are defined within a category use one or more of four attributes to uniquely define it. Many PDM admins miss the subtleties of Categories because the PDM Admin guide has only a simple summary of the attributes and no real world examples of how they can be applied. As a result they miss a golden opportunity to turn Categories into a what I like to refer to as a Table of Contents for a vault. This presentation shows Admins how they can leverage Categories to provide high value across a PDM vault's definition, use, and scalability.
