From Theory to Practice in Simulation

Jul 31, 3:00 – 6:00 PM (UTC)

Cairo SOLIDWORKS User Group

Using the numerical methods to solve Engineering problems have become essential in many industries nowadays, offering notable advantages in terms of cost and time saving.

As a SolidWorks user, you now have the advantage of harnessing the simulation capabilities offered by the platform, in addition to the conventional desktop solutions available in SolidWorks Simulation and Simulia Abaqus.

In this workshop you will learn the engineering behind the software which you should be aware of before running your case to help you getting the most out of the software, you will solve a real case using hand calculations and compare your results to the results comes out of the software.

Throughout this workshop, you'll gain insights into the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) process, Starting from model creation to post-processing. This includes defining loads, boundary conditions, meshing, and selecting appropriate mesh elements.
