What to Expect:

• API Macro Basics

This presentation teaches the basics of recording and editing a SOLIDWORKS macro. With a little experience, you can automate common tedious tasks. The SOLIDWORKS API and macros may sound intimidating, but with a little guidance, you can create automation routines that simplify your daily tasks. This session teaches API basics using VBA. It covers how to record and edit in context of creating a quick PDF export tool.

About Presenter: Mike Spens.

Mike Spens has been a part of the SOLIDWORKS community since 1997. After several years designing ski lifts in SOLIDWORKS, he spent 15 years in the VAR channel demonstrating and teaching SOLIDWORKS to thousands of users. He specializes in data management and API, but is still a modeling junkie. Mike is currently responsible for sales enablement at Dassault Systemes.
