6:00pm – 8:00pm:  Dinner/snacks, introductory meeting

Third meeting in since the creation of HASTSWUG last summer.  This will be the first time where we will be sitting down together for a full meeting in the AMDT classroom.  The main thing I would like to do is use this meeting as an introductory session for those in attendance and get an idea of what people’s expectations are.  I have some ideas for some topics to discuss for future meetings including the Certified SOLIDWORKS exams.  A manufacturing tour at Drake Tool is tentatively planned for this summer.

IMPORTANT!  Please RSVP by Thursday June 11th, 2026 so we can have a headcount for attendance, food, etc.  I plan on getting Little Ceasar’s pizza for this meeting and will probably start with pepperoni and hamburger this time around.

Directions:

From the west (Hastings) – from Showboat Blvd on the east side of Hastings head east about 1-1/2 miles east on Highway 6, turn right on to S Technical Blvd, turn right on to E Community Dr at the second turnabout intersection, head to west end of campus, and arrive at the Hamilton Building (3090 E Community Dr, Hastings, NE 68901).

Park in the lot on the east side of the building, enter the east doors, about 20 feet into the hallway turn right, immediately turn right again by the photocopier, and enter the door of the AMDT classroom.  If you went into the Welding Lab you went too far.
