6:00pm – 7:00pm:  Manufacturing Tour

Scott Barwick and Drake Tool up on the north side of Hastings has invited HASTSWUG for a tour of his machine shop.  This will be part of a bigger tour involving the Hastings Economic Development Corporation which is going on in the 4:00 – 7:00pm time range.  In our case, please show up right about 6:00 so we can meet and tour as a group.  If anyone needs to come out earlier between 4:00 and 6:00 to tour, please identify yourself as being with the Hastings SOLIDWORKS User Group.

IMPORTANT!  Please RSVP by Tuesday October 6th, 2026 so we can have a headcount for how big of a group will be attending.  Food and drinks will be provided by Drake Tool.  Perhaps this will be an opportunity to hang out afterwards?

Directions:

From the west (Highway 281/N. Burlington Ave.) – from Highway 281/North Burlington Avenue turn right if heading north (or left if heading south) on to E 33rd St.  Pass the Menards which is to the north.  Turn left (heading north) on to Yost Avenue.  Arrive at Drake Tool which is one of several business directly behind Menards.  Park in front of Drake Tool or where ever Drake Tool has designated for public parking.
