Weronika Byrdy & Cyrine Tlili

Weronika and Cyrine are the Co-Founders and Co-Designers of SA77A, a Hong Kong-based sustainable sneaker brand built on the principle of conscious design and responsible manufacturing.

Weronika Byrdy is a Polish sustainable sourcing and supply chain executive based in Asia. With a background spanning design, global sourcing, and procurement, she specializes in building transparent, resilient supply chains — integrating material innovation and responsible sourcing into product creation. She is a fluent Mandarin speaker.

Cyrine Tlili is a Tunisian business development and brand strategy executive with international experience including Asia-focused markets. With a background across business, management, and design, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to brand growth, commercial strategy, and market expansion. She is fluent in Chinese.

In this talk, Weronika and Cyrine will share the story behind SA77A, from the meaning of the name to the real challenges of designing and manufacturing a sneaker sustainably. They'll take us behind the scenes of how they source materials, build ethical supply chains, and navigate the complexities of footwear production, including the challenges of sustainable material selection, finding the right manufacturing partners, prototyping, and bringing a product to market as a small independent brand. They'll also touch on what sustainability means to them beyond materials, and how they've built SA77A to reflect their values around conscious design and human well-being.
