Session Description:

JP will cover the basic principles of building a harness with SOLIDWORKS Electrical, routing the harness in SOLIDWORKS 3D, and creating a flattened harness drawing with SOLIDWORKS 3D’s drawing functionality. This workflow is used worldwide to showcase engineering’s design intent while also creating the required manufacturing documentation needed for production. JP will also sprinkle in some Tips and Tricks while going through the presentation and leave plenty of time at the end of the presentation for Q&A or to dive into other topics within the electrical suite.

Speaker Description:

JP Emanuele has been with DASSAULT SYSTÈMES for over ten years as a Senior Specialist who focuses on our electrical suite, including schematics and routing tools.

Before joining SOLIDWORKS, JP had spent the previous twelve years in the electrical engineering world, involved in both the United States Naval Submarine Service aboard the fast-attack submarine USS Alexandria (SSN 757), as well as working with the Department of Defense on critical projects that are being utilized on submarines around the world.

JP holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and is fluent in AutoCAD, OrCAD, and other design platforms. Coupled with his military experience and specialized electrical industry knowledge, JP brings a unique perspective, helping users understand the value of the entire suite of SOLIDWORKS and the 3DExperience Platform.
