SOLID WARS

Oct 30, 9:00 PM – Oct 31, 1:30 AM (UTC)

Northeast Ohio SOLIDWORKS User Group

Alright fellow NEOSWUGians.......Its been a while since we've had one of our Halloween meetings, but the time has come once again. Our next NEOSWUG meeting will be held on Thursday, October 30th from 5:00pm - 9:30pm at Beckett Thermal Solutions in North Ridgeville located at 38000 Beckett Parkway. To make it fun, we encourage everyone to come dressed in a costume, but if your not into that its OK. We have two great presentations lined up for you: Beckett Thermal Solutions own Jerry Kassil, Systems Engineer, will be presenting: What Else Can PDM Do? Jerry will walk you through how he has used SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional to develop creative solutions for things other than the SOLIDWORKS documents we all expect to be handled by PDM. We will also be joined by John Landis, an Elite Applications Engineer with TriMech Solutions who will be presenting: Multi-Body Modeling Mastery in SOLIDWORKS- Multi-Body modeling workflows are commonly used in SOLIDWORKS and provide tangible benefits for many purposes. In this session we’ll explore:

  • What it is and why we do it

  • Types of multi-body parts (standard, weldment, sheet-metal)

  • Creating multiple bodies

  • Make multi-body part from an assembly

  • Move/Copy Body and Combine feature

  • Insert Part in into a part file

  • Create an Assembly from a multi-body part

We will also be giving tours of the Beckett Thermal Solutions facility to show some of the automation we have incorporated into our manufacturing process. We are planning some other things as well, and we will reveal them as we get closer to the event. So pick out your costume, and come join us for some networking, food, tours, and some great presentations! Please RVSP at your earliest convenience so we can properly plan for food. We hope to see you all on Thursday, October 30!
