Saint Louis SOLIDWORKS Users Group

Please join us for the July 2026 St. Louis SOLIDWORKS User Group meeting. Join us for a networking and learning event as we enjoy Pizza World, drinks, and dessert, with a door prize raffle at the end. We will feature these two presentations:

60 Tips in 60 Minutes - Alaa Hosn

Fast, focused, and packed with value. This high-energy session drops at least 60 SOLIDWORKS tips designed to sharpen workflows, boost efficiency, and help users get more done in less time. Whether you are just getting started or have been using SOLIDWORKS for years, everyone will walk away with new tricks, smarter habits, and plenty of “I wish I knew that sooner” moments.

Alaa Hosn is a Solutions Consultant who has been part of the TriMech team since 2018. He started in support and built a solid foundation on how to diagnose and troubleshoot SOLIDWORKS and Electrical issues covering all ranges of topics from installations to performance issues. Alaa moved to the solutions consulting role in 2022. He is based in Richmond, VA and has a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech. Alaa has earned his CSWE and earned many certificates for topics such as Simulation, Plastics, Flow Simulation, PDM, and more. As a result, Alaa received an Elite Engineer Award from Dassault Systems in 2024.

User Group Benefits and SOLIDWORKS Learning Content - Charles Culp

Being a member of this usergroup has additional benefits beyond pizza. I will provide some additional benefits, including up to 40% off HP workstations, SW for Makers, free giveaways, and discounts at the SOLIDWORKS store. I will also go over SOLIDWORKS resources for learning options beyond user group presentations.

Charles Culp is a project engineer at Donaldson Company, where he leads design projects for helicopter inlet barrier filter installations. He has over twenty years' experience as an aerospace engineer, using SOLIDWORKS for advanced surfacing, plastic and cast metal part design, model-based definition, and PDM administration experience. He received the SWUGN Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. As the St. Louis SOLIDWORKS User Group leader, he has promoted the education and networking opportunities of being part of the SOLIDWORKS Community.
