Saint Louis SOLIDWORKS Users Group
I am excited to announce our April user group meeting. I plan on having Qdoba catering our meal. If you can register early, it will help me ensure we have enough food for everyone. I am excited about our presenters for our meeting which will include a discussion on Artificial Intelligence as well as a look at SOLIDWORKS API.
TITLE: Practical AI for the Modern SolidWorks Designer
PRESENTER: Derek Lawson
This session covers practical AI and modern workflows that help designers move faster, catch more issues early, and reduce costly rework. We'll walk through real-world applications including DFM checks, 3D cost reduction analysis, intelligent drawing review checklists, asynchronous 2D/3D design reviews, and visual 2d/3d comparison for design change validation.
Walk away with practical techniques that immediately reduce rework and improve design confidence.
TITLE: Introduction to SOLIDWORKS API
PRESENTER: Braxton Kersting
Learn how to use the SOLIDWORKS API to save time by automating simple design tasks. SOLIDWORKS comes with an open API along with a recording functionality to jump start your macro development. Come join MLC CAD Systems Application Engineer Braxton Kersting in developing a custom macro to automate bulk updates to SOLIDWORKS files. From this event you will gain a better understanding of the macro recorder, the SOLIDWORKS API object model, and navigating the API help documentation.
