We're excited to welcome back Chris Buerckner, CSWE, Product Design Team Leader at Quad Lock, for another session with the Tanzania SolidWorks User Group Network.

At Quad Lock, Chris leads the design of mounts and accessories used by riders and drivers around the world including the recently launched Cup Holder Mount, engineered for clean, adjustable, secure mounting on the go.

In today's product design world, 3D printing and rapid prototyping are essential skills they let designers test, fail, and improve fast, long before committing to costly tooling or full production. Chris will break down exactly how to do this well: how to reduce supports and cut material costs, how to properly orient your model before printing, and the real mistakes he's made along the way — and what they taught him.
