When I was starting out in SOLIDWORKS, a few features really stood out and made the learning curve much smoother. Sketch Relations and Fully Defining Sketches helped me understand design intent early on, ensuring that my models behaved predictably. I also found Extrude, Revolve, and Cut features extremely useful since they form the foundation of most 3D parts, mastering them quickly gave me confidence to build more complex designs.
Another favorite was the Feature Tree (Design Manager), which allowed me to retrace my steps, edit features, and learn the importance of a clear modeling strategy. Over time, features like Mirror, Patterns, and Evaluate tab saved me countless hours and improved efficiency, especially when working on repetitive or symmetrical parts.
