The SolidWorks User Group (SWUG) at IIT Bhubaneswar is a collaborative community within, but not limited to, the School of Mechanical Sciences, dedicated to fostering the development of CAD and engineering design skills.
A SolidWorks User Group is a collective of students, researchers, and professionals who come together to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and support each other in mastering SolidWorks and advancing design techniques. SWUGs provide an open forum for learning, discussion, and collaboration, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
Our Objectives:
Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate discussions and sessions to deepen understanding of SolidWorks tools and applications.
Skill Development: Organize workshops, tutorials, and hands-on training to enhance practical design capabilities.
Community Building: Create a supportive environment for members to connect, seek guidance, and share project experiences.
Industry Exposure: Host expert talks and guest lectures to provide insights into industry trends and real-world design challenges.
This group serves as a platform to explore innovative design solutions, collaborate on projects, and build a network of peers and mentors. All students and faculty with an interest in engineering design are encouraged to join and contribute to the group’s collective growth.
