And just like that...it's a wrap!
THANK YOU ALL who took the time out to attend! Meeting in person is so much better than Virtual meetings, and it was great to see friends and colleagues and also meet a few new fellow SolidWorks enthusiasts as well.
Additional THANK YOU to Dr. Ali and Silicon Valley Polytechnic Institute for letting us use your classroom. We hope to host future learning sessions here in the near future.
Our San Jose SWUGN started by breaking break, more specially pizza and drinks, and just catching up.
We spent a good amount of time reminiscing about how the SolidWorks User Group was before and where we want to go with it. The overwhelming consensus was to have meetings with a combination of learning something about SolidWorks (refresher classes, case studies, tips and tricks) and learning new cutting edge tools and how they apply to industry. AI seems to be on everyone's mind. Learning about the lastest tools are also of interest, as many are a 2+ versions behind the latest release.
Did not need to discuss the importance of having SWUGN, because everything that attended already know the importance of having this type of community meetups. Networking, collaboration, talking stories and having good conversation are all part of it.
All this said, it was good night to catch up and to get direction for the future. Our next meeting is tentative for Sept 17th, 2026. Venue is TBD. Stay tuned for details!
